A Sparkle alternative that uses your folders
Both read your files and decide where they go. Sparkle builds you a new folder system. iFiley files into the one you already have. Here's the difference, honestly.

Where Sparkle is better
Sparkle is hands-off. It sorts your Desktop, Documents and Downloads without asking, builds a folder structure from what it finds, and works through the pile of old files you already have, not just new ones. It's also a Mac cleaner, not only an organiser. If you don't have a folder system and don't want to think about one, that's exactly what it's for.
Where iFiley is better
iFiley works with the folders you already have, including the ones in Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and iCloud Drive. It doesn't invent a new structure or move your existing folders somewhere else. It reads each download, shows you the folder it thinks is right and why, and you press Return. Every filing has an Undo beside it.
The folders
By its own help pages, Sparkle keeps new files in Recents for three days, then sorts them into an AI Library of folders it creates. Folders you already had move into a Manual Library, which it leaves alone. iFiley does the opposite: your folders stay put, and it learns what goes in each one from the files already there.
Privacy
Both organise on your Mac. Sparkle's help centre says it runs locally and uploads no files, and that it collects basic usage analytics and error reports, with an email address for your account login. iFiley has no account and sends no analytics. It only goes online to check your licence and to look for updates, and neither carries anything from your files.
Price
Sparkle is a subscription, from $9.25 a month, or part of Every's $30 a month bundle. iFiley is $39 a year, or $99 once and yours to keep. At $9.25 a month, a year of Sparkle is $111. iFiley paid once is $99, and covers every update to iFiley 1.
Don't run both on Downloads
Two apps moving files out of the same folder will trip over each other. If you try both, give each one a week on its own.
